New Studios in Walthamstow, E17

Barbican Arts Trust are having viewings on 7 and 8 December of 28 new studios at 114 Blackhorse Road. Times by appointment only. Deadline for applications is 12th December. A selection panel will interview all shortlisted artists and take account of:

* Quality of work
* Demonstrable need for affordable space
* Suitability of techniques and processes to be used

The spaces range from 100 to 300 sq ft and rents will be from £88 to £290 a month. Some studios have central heating and the ground floor studios will be suitable for disabled access. Local artists will be given priority.

The Great Hall winners, E10

The winners of the competition to rent the Great Hall at no charge for one year were Horukul Islam and Salim Rahman. Their last-minute proposal combined an exciting new restaurant, plus using the Hall for functions like weddings, receptions and other social and corporate events. The former Leyton Municipal Offices also include the 28-unit Legacy E10 Business Centre. Check www.hiltongrove.org/code/e10.html for available spaces.

Rangemore Road, Tottenham, N15

A new building on Bernard Road providing approximately 400 sq m of accommodation over two floors. It can be let as it is or in a combination of up to four separate units, ranging in size from 544 to 1065 sq ft. The building has extensive glazing on the north elevation. Stoneleigh Road, Tottenham, N17

This building on Holcombe Road provides 700 sq m of flexible accommodation over three floors. It is designed for optimum energy efficiency and incorporates a specially commissioned ventilation system. Cycle parking is available in a communal courtyard and there are shower facilities on each floor. Unit sizes range from 412 to 452 sq ft. Luxury Business Barges, N17

Three new floating workspaces will soon be ready for renting at Hale Wharf on the Lee Navigation in Tottenham. Built by British Waterways, they are ideal for creative, cultural or IT/high tech businesses looking for distinctive and modern working environments. The smallest (800 sq ft) will be available February 2008, and the two larger barges (each 1000 sq ft) soon after. The rent has been set at £20,000 per year for each barge, excluding business rates, insurance and service charge.
