For the ninth year, the Hampstead and Highgate Festival promises a dazzling array of first-rate classical artists together with exciting soloists from the younger generation and a wide variety of arts and community events taking place in and around two of North London's most popular and picturesque village centres.
The Festival also celebrates important anniversaries of two local composers, both of them hugely important in the British musical firmament: Hugh Wood's seventy-fifth birthday and Paul Patterson's sixtieth; both these composers have lived locally and supported music in the area for very many years.
