The E17 Art Trail

The E17 Art Trail is an artist-led initiative established in 2004. It has grown into an annual event with up to 300 artists from Waltham Forest taking part. Each artist, group of artists or venue in the E17 postcode organises events in their homes, gardens, studios, streets, shops, cafes, libraries, galleries and museums and then submits the details to the organisers who produce a printed trail map and detailed website.

A huge diversity of contemporary practice is reflected, including installation, performance, film and video, painting, printmaking, photography, sculpture, drawing, textiles, poetry and glass.

The E17 Art Trail aims to create more opportunities for visual arts in the area, supporting a local network of artists and establishing new relationships between artists, audiences and business.
