The Boogaloo

The Boogaloo

Boogaloo was opened at Christmas 2002 by Jazzman entertainment. The people behind Jazzman, John Keane and Gerry O'Boyle, share a vision and desire to create a bar that would establish itself amongst the great rock n' roll bars of our time.

Disillusioned with the blandness of theme bars, manufactured music and the scene in general, their aims were simply to create a bar known for 'good drink, good music, and good atmosphere.'

Jazzman is developing its Juke Joint as if it were a rock n' roll band. It wants to encourage and promote, to entertain and educate its audience in real music, to return to a golden era, a time when boogaloo was hip, Elvis was King, Jack Kennedy was a poster boy and vinyl was all the rage.
